Plain English, like everything else we do. This policy explains what personal data this website handles, why, and what your rights are.

Who we are

What we collect, and why

The enquiry form. When you send an enquiry we receive the details you type: your name, business name, email address, phone number, the service you're interested in, and your message. We use them for exactly one purpose: replying to you and, if you become a client, arranging the work you've asked about. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

Nothing is stored on this website. The site is static. Your form submission is emailed straight to our inbox and is not saved to a database or kept on the web server.

No marketing. We don't add you to mailing lists, and we don't sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If we measure visits, we use privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics that do not identify individuals. That's why you don't see a cookie banner.

How long we keep enquiries

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as the conversation (and any resulting work) needs, then deleted in periodic clear-outs. If you'd like an enquiry deleted sooner, ask and we'll do it.

Who else touches the data

Our email is handled by our email provider, and the form is delivered by our web hosting. Both act as processors on our behalf. We don't transfer your details outside the UK/EEA beyond what those providers require to deliver email.

Your rights

  • Ask what data we hold about you (access)
  • Have mistakes corrected (rectification)
  • Have your data deleted (erasure)
  • Object to or restrict our use of it

Email office@ricleaning.co.uk and we'll deal with it promptly and without drama. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
